Beauty is in the skin! Skin gives you appearance, hair, nails, and body shape. It is a first shield protecting you from viruses and bacteria, helping your body keep a constant temperature. We feel pain, pressure, and those gentle touches and kisses through the skin! Vitamin D, the happy vitamin, is also synthesized in the skin. Cherish and protect your skin!
Meet Lina, behind the blog BEAUTY IN THE SKIN
Hi, I am Lina Sni, a doctor (MD) and beauty therapist. I have spent years in medicine, medical cosmetology, aesthetics and beauty therapy. My passion is to help people solve their skin problems and give the best advice.
I love science and was working in a lab as a researcher. My articles are based on science and recent research findings. I use sources from the American Academy of Dermatology, International Society of Dermatopathology, European Society for Dermatological Research, the European Society for Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology, and the American Board of Dermatology, and other societies and associations, as well as scientific information-rich databases, such as PubMed and MedlinePlus.
I am particularly interested in acne, as it is the most common skin disease in the world, causing skin pathologies, aesthetic problems, and mental issues. I am fascinated by how many factors may trigger it. I dig into the underlying causes, hormonal imbalances, the lack of vitamins and minerals, and other causes.
I am also a lecturer and teach my young colleagues. I like to share my knowledge with others. Therefore, I have launched BEAUTY IN THE SKIN to share my experience with people who struggle with skin issues or are just interested in beauty science and looking for the best skincare tips.
